Applications are ranked <strong>against each other within each sub-measure<\/strong>, so choosing the right category and maximising your score make the difference.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Tourism (1.5): rules to know<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Only <strong>micro and small businesses<\/strong> are funded.<\/li>\n<li>Accommodation must be <strong>3, 4 or 5-star hotels<\/strong> or <strong>non-main accommodation (e.g. rooms to let) rated 3, 4 or 5 keys<\/strong>. Lower-rated properties qualify if they reach these categories after the investment.<\/li>\n<li>A <strong>new accommodation<\/strong> project needs a mountainous community and a <strong>building permit (or legalisation certificate, \u0395\u0395\u0394\u039c\u039a) already at submission<\/strong>. Permits take time, so start now.<\/li>\n<li>Priorities: converting <strong>traditional or listed buildings<\/strong> into accommodation, <strong>restaurants<\/strong>, spa tourism, and quality upgrades of existing accommodation.<\/li>\n<li>Not eligible: canteens and seasonal or itinerant activities, concessions awarded by tender, night-only entertainment venues, gambling, car and motorbike rentals, tourist road-transport businesses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3>Services (1.6): what qualifies<\/h3>\n<p>Examples: playgrounds, nurseries, after-school centres, speech and occupational therapy centres, physiotherapy, beauty and massage centres, care homes, hair salons, gyms and 5-a-side pitches, car repair and car wash businesses, event and cultural venues.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Not eligible<\/strong>: wholesale, retail without your own production, education (other than the above), transport, medical and veterinary practices, insurance, accounting, legal and engineering services, telecoms and power generation.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Processing and crafts (1.1\u20131.4)<\/h3>\n<p>Priority goes to dairy, meat, honey, olive oil, citrus, aromatic plants and wine products, as well as units that are <strong>open to visitors<\/strong>. In crafts, retail is also funded when combined with production, e.g. shops that make and sell their products on site, or furniture and marble showrooms. Traditional crafts are prioritised (weaving, woodcarving, icon painting, candle making, silver and gold work, stone and marble).<\/p>\n\n<h2>How much can I get?<\/h2>\n<p>The grant is a percentage of the approved budget. Reasonable cost gets full points only if your budget is approved with a cut of 5% or less. A cut of 5-10% gets 60% of the points, 10-30% gets 30%, and over 30% gets nothing. Correct quotes and realistic prices from the start win points. Also:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full readiness points require <strong>all permits<\/strong> at submission.
